Casa de Bandini was founded by Diane Powers, one of San Diego's most celebrated restaurateurs. Diane has dedicated decades to preserving and sharing the rich culture, cuisine, and traditions of Mexico through all three of her BDM restaurants.

The Carlsbad location of Casa de Bandini opened in 2009, bringing the beloved Casa de Bandini name — originally established in Old Town San Diego — to The Forum at Carlsbad.

Bazaar del Mundo (BDM) is Diane Powers' family of authentic Mexican restaurants and shops in Southern California. Casa de Bandini in Carlsbad is part of the BDM family alongside Casa Guadalajara in San Diego and Casa de Pico in La Mesa.
